By bringing the quality, research-based music and movement curriculum Music Together® to early childhood centers throughout Houston, the Prelude Music Foundation supports children’s development during the most formative years of their lives.
Our dynamic, high-impact program uses music as the tool to advance the cognitive, academic, and musical development of young children at home, in schools, and in communities. Our trained early childhood music specialists lead classrooms in a weekly music class. In addition, through professional development workshops, parent education classes, and family engagement opportunities, we equip teachers and parents with tools and information on how music stimulates the brain and supports children’s development.
Our program is versatile, rooted in developmentally appropriate practice, and supports the five early learning domains. We promote interpersonal connection and create a joyful, accepting, and stimulating learning environment while nurturing every child’s innate musicality.
