A gathering of hands has created an elegant showcase for ceramic art in Houston resulting in 18 Hands Gallery. The newest addition to the 19th Street Market Place in the Heights is a destination for collectors, interior designers and individuals who would like to add the beauty and texture of ceramic art to their lives.
Principals Karen Cruce, Betsy Evans, Albert Goldreich, Katy McKinin and Jim Shea and other ‘contributing hands’ created the gallery to demonstrate the artistry of clay.
On display in the gallery are innumerable varieties of clay art, including functional, sculptural, stoneware, earthenware, thrown and hand built work.
The principals of 18 Hands Gallery are all ceramic artists and can assist customers in purchasing a distinctive piece of work. Select potters have been chosen to display their work at the gallery guaranteeing that customers will find a unique gift or personal treasure.
New exhibitions including solo and themed exhibitions will occur the first Saturday of each month.
