International Holocaust Remembrance Day
Holocaust Museum Houston 5401 Caroline St., Houston, TX, United StatesOn January 27, 1945, Auschwitz-Birkenau was liberated by Soviet troops. In 2005, the UN General Assembly designated January 27 as International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Museum admission is free on this day every year so that all may come remember the six million Jews and other innocent victims of the Holocaust and honor the survivors’ legacy.
