Learn playful ways to recognize shadow characteristics in ourselves and discover how doing so can lead to a greater valuation of difference. Political campaigns in the 21st century have become excellent examples of the depersonalizing, harmful, and yet completely natural human tendency to create polarization. Join us as we acknowledge together how projections of the shadow – those parts of ourselves that we cannot accept or feel to be our own – run rampant in political rhetoric. There is an increasing urgency to reconcile opposing viewpoints and values in the political climate of our world and in our nation. When the archetype of the shadow rules, there is both a challenge and an opportunity to benefit from embracing the value of diversity.
