Part of Kinetic Ensemble’s series of chamber music performances in intimate venues around the city, The Strangers’ Case features a preview performance of a new work for voice and strings by composer Karim Al-Zand. Soprano Alexandra Smither will perform the excerpt, along with selections from Errollyn Wallen’s songbook. Al-Zand’s “The Strangers’ Case” is funded in part by the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance. The complete composition will be premiered by the full ensemble in the 25-26 season.
