For those concerned about privacy, participants will be required to sign a Reproduction Rights Form giving (or not giving) the artist permission to reproduce the drawings in the future. Portraits can also be created excluding the face to ensure anonymity. Furthermore, participants will have the option to model for either a nude or a clothed drawing portrait, and may bring a chaperon to the session. All participants must be 18 years old or older. Drawing sessions can be reserved via the website sendnudesproject.com or https://nyssajuneau.com/the-send-nudes-project with a $60 deposit payment. Charcoal drawings are $170, and pastel (color drawings) are $220. Framing with a mat by the artist is available for a $75 fee.
https://nyssajuneau.com/the-send-nudes-projectArt League Houston (ALH) is partnering with artist and instructor Nyssa Juneau to present The Send Nudes Project, a special initiative bridging the gap between art history and contemporary counterculture in relation to the nude figure. Participants are invited to book a 2-hour session to pose as a model for a nude or clothed drawing portrait at Art League Houston. Sessions will be available from January 8, 2024 – February 15th, 2024.
Each portrait is drawn by the artist from life, with no photographs used at any point of the process. The first hour consists of sketches. During a short break, the pose for the final drawing is selected from the sketches, and the drawing is completed during the final hour.
