Texas Arts and Music Festival

October 18 - October 20

Free

Historic Downtown Brenham, Texas will be filled with art and music October 18, 19, and 20 as Texas Arts & Music Festival hosts their ninth annual festival, which supports Brazos Valley arts and music education.

This free weekend festival, featuring two new public art mural installations, live music, an art village, pop-up art galleries, is thrilled to announce four musical guests slated to perform on Saturday, October 19.

This year’s headliner, Jomo and the Possum Posse, self-described as “The Greatest Band in the World. Possibly Ever.”, bring their unique style of original music and comedy and honkey-tonk combined in an unforgettable stage show. With their new album Yesterdays Coffee, inspired by his musical heroes and purveyors of shrewd humor like Todd Snider and John Prine, bandleader Jomo Edwards’s songs combine percep]ve lyrics and self- deprecating satire.

Susto, brings his Americana / Indie Rock musical stylings to the stage. Originally from South Carolina, he’s now relocated to Austin and his new album reflects that new southwest style.

Willow Creek Junction, based out of Magnolia. Offering a well-balanced repertoire of original compositons and cover renditons, their musical style embodies the essence of Texas Country.

Brazos Valley’s Kane Alvarado, a 16-year-old prodigy, will get things going with a rock and blues set sure to impress.
