Blue is the colour of dreams. Orange, red and white are the colours of summertime. In ‘The Introduction’, Ivo Morrison tells you a story about the memory of summer. But it’s not about his summers. It’s about yours. And how you remember them. And how the memory of them keeps you warm when it’s cold and dark.
Ivo Morrison, born 1990, is a self-taught British artist currently based in London. His work is hand drawn with shellac ink on paper. His primary ambition is to tell stories in his pictures; his work is exciting, silly, and a bit mysterious.
He has exhibited at multiple British galleries, including with Rebecca Hossack and the British Art Portfolio, as well as internationally, most notably at Art Basel Miami Beach, Art on Paper in New York, Ink Asia in Hong Kong, and the International Art Festival of São Paolo, among others.
