Houston Repertoire Ballet (HRB), Houston’s premier pre-professional ballet company, celebrates its 28th season, beginning with its 25th annual performance series of The Nutcracker, featuring exquisite professional guest artists Nikisha Fogo as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Aaron Robison as the Cavalier both of the San Francisco Ballet, along with Quinton Brooks as the Snow King, and Joseph Modlin as Herr Drosselmeyer. Introducing musical accompaniment of HRB’s new Company Orchestra under the direction of Tarana Taylor.NEW!! The Land of Sweets Soirée event, November 12, from 3 pm to 5 pm, is the collaboration of several alumnae with a vision to bring the joy and delight of ballet to the children of our community! The experience includes sweet treats, narration excerpt from The Nutcracker, an abridged Nutcracker performance from company members, interactive movement with ballerinas, gorgeous decor, and Land of Sweets ornament. From bakers to a vision of a sugar plum, our guests will have opportunities to take photos with Clara and her friends in several imaginative settings exclusive to the soirée including a snow globe bubble house! Limited tickets are $30/Adults and $40/Children, child tickets include a Land of Sweets wand and crown. Tables seat 12; reserved tables have priority viewing of the soirée Nutcracker performance. All other seating is first come, first serve at the event. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Toddlers ages one to two much have a ticket for own seat, plate, crown, and wand. Reservations are not refundable or exchangeable but can be transferred
