A collective art exhibition titled “Fiebre”, curated by Aime Rosales. A tribute to the Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Myraida Desiree Carmona Diaz, known in the international music scene as Calma Carmona. The exhibition seeks to establish a dialogue between music and visual arts. Through approximately 19 works made for Cuban artists in various formats such as painting, photography, drawing, and art installation, the artists share their reflections on the influence and significance of Calma Carmona’s musical work and poetic lyrics in contemporary society. Each exhibited piece unveils a unique narrative that invites an aesthetic experience, evoking emotions and stimulating reflection. By combining elements such as color, rhythm, and sensuality, the creators transport the viewer on a journey that synthesizes the tropical fusion present in Calma Carmona’s lyrics and music. The “Fiebre” exhibition at The MATCH will not only be an artistic event but also an exceptional opportunity to immerse oneself in the cultural essence of Puerto Rico and Cuba and explore the relationship between music and visual arts.
