DACAMERA Presents New York Philharmonic String Quartet

The members of the New York Philharmonic String Quartet are principal musicians from the esteemed orchestra. Multiple prize winners all, they have appeared as concerto soloists with the Philharmonic and orchestras around the world.

American composer Florence Price was the first Black woman to have her music played by a major orchestra. Like Haydn and Dvořák before her, the recently rediscovered composer transforms folk music in her radiant compositions. Her first string quartet is marked by rapid changes, sweeping the listener from one compelling soundscape to another.
