A Reading with National Book Award Winner Justin Torres

Gulf Coast, in partnership with Lawndale Arts Center, will host a reading with National Book Award Winner Justin Torres. Gulf Coast Editor Rosa Boshier González will facilitate a conversation and Q&A.

Justin Torres is the author of the novel Blackouts. His debut novel, We the Animals, won the VCU Cabell First Novelist Award, was translated into fifteen languages, and was adapted into a feature film. His short fiction & essays have appeared in The New Yorker, Harper’s, Granta, Tin House, The Washington Post, LA Times Image Magazine, & Best American Essays.
