Annual Metropolitan Opera vocal competition for young opera singers between ages 20-30; they will be heard and advised by national Met Opera judges. The winners go to a regional competition in New Orleans, then onto the New York Metropolitan Opera stage. Winners have this achievement on their resumes and may eventually be part of national opera companies.
The competition will be held in Duncan Hall, in Alice Pratt Brown Hall (Shepherd School of Music) at Rice University.
