Artist Talk: When You Invent the Ship, You Also Invent the Shipwreck

Throughline member artists Garland Fielder and Gabriel Martinez will discuss their work in the exhibition, “When You Invent the Ship, You Also Invent the Shipwreck”.

The works in the exhibition address threats humanity faces and the fear they engender. Paintings, drawings, photography and sculpture look toward the systems that have facilitated naturally occurring and human-engineered dangers and the structures used to safeguard against them.
