Houston Youth Symphony has approximately 700 musicians participating in its numerous programs, including a youth orchestra program featuring five ensembles, an annual concerto competition and chamber music program for its more advanced players, and two music education outreach efforts for talented youth lacking the socio-economic resources to further their skills.

Houston Youth Symphony is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
