In addition to our thirty adult councils, we have five young adult and nine youth councils that have been established to work towards our leadership, education, and youth program goals.our district office is an invaluable resource for our work supporting civil rights, social equality, immigration, voter registration and cultural diversity.How to make a differenceLULAC has developed a national reputation for supporting the Hispanic population when there are incidents of injustice, inequality in the workplace, school or out in the community.Our Cinco de Mayo parade is our only source of income to support the district’s office. It also funds the district’s scholarships. ScholarshipsLULAC believes education is the key to increase the representation and respect of the Hispanic community living in the United States. Activities and fundraisers are held year-round to contribute to this important cause.Scholarships are awarded through the LNESC (LULAC National Educational Service Centers, Inc.) to deserving students so that they may pursue a college or university in a field of their choice. Students who are awarded LULAC scholarships are chosen by local councils. In awarding these scholarships. LULAC does not discriminate against nationality.
