ROCO Connections: Rise Up

ROCO’s Connections Series returns to the Asia Society Texas Center on October 20 with “Rise Up!” This performance will also be livestreamed free at ROCO.org, Facebook, YouTube, and 440.
Artistic Partner Mei-Ann Chen leads an ensemble of female ROCO musicians in a program featuring two ROCO World Premiere commissions including Richard Danielpour’s Breaking the Veil written for the women of ROCO, inspired the female-led protests in Iran. Also featured will be Quinn Mason’s 19th Amendment which will be performed in collaboration with female dancers from the Houston Contemporary Dance Company.
