In their award-winning documentary Sara Nodjoumi and Till Schauder delve into the mystery surrounding the disappearance of more than 100 paintings by Sara’s father, seminal Iranian modern artist and activist Nicky Nodjoumi. In 1980, he fled Iran following the protest of his solo exhibition, Report on the Revolution, and its subsequent shutdown at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art. The film follows efforts by the renowned artist and his daughter to recover the missing paintings while also exploring their complicated family history.
